Hi all

A neighbour's cat did this to the little stubby aerial that sticks out of the top of the rear window on my otherwise lovely 2002 CLK. Am pretty ****ed off as it was perfect before.

Does anyone know how I can replace this, and where I can get the part without it costing a fortune?

The ridges at the base make it look like it should unscrew, but it doesn't seem to want to shift. And when I Google for 'CLK antenna', nothing that looks like this comes up.

As always, any and all advice gratefully received.

Many thanks,
Martin

Part 60 in the EPC below.
It appears to unscrew or pull out from Part 40.

Part numbers appear if you scroll down.
The latest number just supersedes the previous one.
There are a couple on ebay but they are for the roof mounted antenna, not the rear screen.
Your main dealer should be able to order one for you but if its a part no longer available you may have to search Mercedes breakers such as Dronsfields with any of the 3 part numbers listed.

Fairly sure that antenna is for the cell phone not the car radio.

Damn I can imagine that you're peeved at that.
I thought that only the convertibles had an external aerial, all others are part of the rear screen heater element.
In any case I guess that you'll have to coat the replacement in chilli oil to stop the cat eating it!
