Anyone know how to remove the back seats from a CLK - there doesn't appaer to be any obvious fixing?

Merc rear seat swabs are normally removed by releasing a catch underneath each front corner. Then lift the front and slide out. The back is probably held in with bolts but it should be clearer with the swab out.

Thats what I thought

Thats what I thought - have had this on former Mercs, but the CLK appears to have a different method of fixing.

if this is W208 CLK then there are 2 catches at the lower of the seat bench - put your hand under and feel for them.... pull and release.... the back is held on with bolts

Clk Rear Seat

Tried poking around under back seat but could not find any catches although it does feel as if it is anchored at each end and not in the middle. Not sure what the W number is for this model but it is a 2000 CLK230 Komp. If anyone else has any suggestions it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Mick
