Does anyone know the most likely cause of why occasionally the roof will go through the openning process but will not takE the main roof back from the front to the back unless you give it a push. The pump appears to be running when the roof is motionless? When this happens and you re-close the roof it will come back with a quick jerk and slams down onto the screen top fixings?
Its a 2000 year CLK 320.
This is intermittant and works fine othe rthan this.

Not easy this one, there are interlocks all the way through, it has to know where the windows and roll bar are. In all it goes into 30 pages of info.

it should be fault code stored and a read out will give the answer. Sorry cant say more for it is to involved.

Many thanks I think you have answered the question. The fault only occured since a replacement drivers door glass was fitted by RAC winscreen under insurance. They did a good job in making the door close much easier but I guess they did not get the switching re-calibrated.
i will call them tomorrow.
