Hi there..

I really need help in finding a Salvage/secondhand Driverside door in Silver for my 99 Merc CLK200..

I broke all the innards on mine, and then the wind caught it and bent it!!..lol.

So a nice shiney new one would stop the missus nagging me!..

Any help is great

You,ll be lucky to get a door in your exact colour mate. If you did, guarenteed that it will be marked in some way.
Get the blue one and get it painted inside and out your colour, I can,t see this costing much more than £250-£300 (probably cheaper if you look about)
Whole job done for less than £500 which i don,t consider too bad considering your car was £25,000 plus when new and you did completely trash your original.
It still may be cheaper to buy a new skin to your original door the window regulator you could possibly buy new from ECP or GSF

the door isnt trashed as such...just the arm that holds the door open at certain points snapped, and so the thin metal under the wingmirror bent back a bit too far when the door swung fully open in the wind and has cave inwards a bit..all that is left then is the mechanism for the window which broke as well,,the motor is fine..

As you can see in the crude circle i put on the pic,,thats the damage area, apart from that its in good condition..

do you all think id be better off getting a new mechanism and having a bodyshop see if they can pull the dent out??

Ive had an absolute Mare with this car the last 2 months..

1,First of all i had it serviced..£400
2,then the front driverside suspension spring snapped when it was parked stationary outside my house, so a pair of new springs fitted another £400
3,the Airflow meter shorted and blew up frying some wiring in the loom and some sensor or other £500
4,last week the starter motor packed in,so cost of towing and new motor in all £300
now the Door!!..LOL,hopefull thats all that needs doing, because My BMW isnt to well and needs some TLC as well..Im thinking of trashing the lot of them and getting an XC90!!...heheheh,either that or a nice Boat!

They do window mechanisms for w202s should be available for your i would of thought.
It sounds like it was your check strap that was broken i would,nt think that they are to expensive to buy from MB.
Try the above links for possibly a whole door as i know they do body panels as well.
