hello all, I thought I would share my experience of adding DRLs to my CLK.

Adds a great look (in my opinion anyway)

very cheap via ebay and took me 45mins to install... I connected the live to the cig fuse, so they are on all the time via ignition just like factory set up.

these are stick on's 3m tape and the reason I bought these are simply because I could not find any other that fit in that space.

would love to hear you responce.

Cant seem to add more pics.. will try again later.

i like them, i'd go one step further and remove the fog lights altogether, and extend the DRLs so they look like the hockey sticks in the W212

looks nice. however, would it not have been easier to just activate the factory fitted DRL's from the cluster?

Activating the driving lights on the cluster effectively switches the main-beam lights to constant, therefore as soon as you switch on the car the lights come on irrespective of how light it is outside.

Those quad tips look the danglies, great looking car altogether.
I'd never have guessed it was a 320cdi.
That has to be one of the smartest after-market DRL jobs too, looks like it could have been an original fitment.

yes the W209 clk does have them. even my old 203 c class has them.

as someone has rightly said, it is just the headlights on permanently, but if you are wanting them for FUNCTIONAL purposes, switching them on via the cluster and its job done! no messing with wiring etc
