clk electric seats help needed

as some of you may have read i have jsut got a new clk 2001 and have a problem with the electric seats both sides. The function for them to slide back and forward doesnt work? I flick the switch back and forth and hear something clicking under the seats? it happens on both seats but just no movement some one please help as i need to move both the seats forward??

I had this problem recently with the adjustment for the head rest. The Merc agent said that there was a limiter that prevents it going too far up or down (in your case back or forward). They can reset this limiter. They did in my case. It worked for about 10 minutes and then packed up again. They are supplying a new motor.......

However, as your problem is both seats there might be a different answer!

ok thanks for that it could be worth looking into. They said to me about one of the motors is part of the seat column thing and is big bucks!
