clk electric window/seats/mirros fault

Hi guys i am new to the forum & need some help? i have a 2000 X plate clk320 & i am having problems with the electric seat's-mirrors-windows i have taken the vehicle to a vehicle electric's specialist & he told me that i had a faulty SAM unit so i replaced that but to no avail it is just doing the same again! if i disconect the car battery they all work fine but the next day they all stop working! do any of you guys have any idea what could be the problem.

Hi Chris and welcome,,did you have the new SAM activated by STAR, if not, then the car will not know that it has the features that are not working

If the local garage did not have a STAR test set, then the car will not know that the new SAM has been fitted, if it is how you say, in that you set things up when you start the car, and the following day you have to do it all again, then that is the problem. Just get the SAM coded with an indie or MB dealer, as they have STAR

I have had seat problems before, when i move them forward they go backwards and vice-versa, i find a swift punch on the seat adjuster console remedies this problem, when i have time i may have a look at the swithches and give them a check.
