Hello, hope someone can help

I have a 1999 Clk320 Cab which gives a lamp failure warning. Every morning all is fine but after about 30 mins of driving it displays a lamp warning and from then on all day the reverse lamps will fail to work, this is the same everyday and always fine the next morning. I have changed all bulbs and checked the connections to the bulbs and plugs in to the light clusters. A possible problem could be about a year ago i had a leak causing water to build in the passenger foot-well, i think there is some sort of control module there but im haven't a clue what it does. Any suggestions where to start looking would be great.

Many thanks
Paul

Hi Paul the module is in the gear shift.

Thanks for the info Malcolm, that could make sense as im sure it is heat related, it does gets very hot in that part of the car and i have noticed it takes longer for it to fail on the colder mornings. Might be a longshot but hopefully a cable/connector reseat might work on the module.
