CLK FUEL GAUGE SENDER/SENSORS REPLACEMENT

Does anyone know if this is a job that can be easily done or is specialist knowledge required. I believe that access to the tank is from under the rear seats. MB dealer is quoting £450+.

Easy enough, special tool, giant socket required to unscrew units though. should'nt be too tight.

Thanks for that - appreciate your comment - any chance of being a bit more specific.
I believe that there are two sensors - do they go into the tank from the top - if so does this mean that the tank does not need to be drained - only near to the empty mark.
Are the sensors reached from under the rear seat.
Are the sensors the old ball-cock type assembly that I have seen on older cars - or are they more electronic.
