I've still to decide what to change my C270cdi with but I've been drawn to the V8 CLKs ('03 vintage so I'm unsure what model designation that is :-?).
In the price bracket I can afford there's some CLK500s and CLK55 AMGs and both would seem to offer pretty close performance and (for me anyway) cost about the same to insure (and a helluva lot less than the M3 or 911
).
I've done some trawling of this site and there's little info on either - it would seem that very few people own these (there's a few of E55 owners but that seems to be it).
So, a coupla questions if I may:
What sort of fuel consumption can I expect from either (are they pretty similar) and (in the unlikely event) one was to go U/S, is the AMG very much more to fix on average.
