CLK R Reg Drivers door probs.

Hello All,
I am a new member to the forum.
I have had a CLK since new ( 10 years) , unfortunately starting to show its age ( 116,000) miles.
Recently had v expensive new Kompressor & Air Flow meter.

Latest probs are: Electric window great at going down ( but needs manual help going up.
Also the door stay ( the thingy that keeps the door open broke ( inside door).
wondered whether these are related and how difficult/ expensive to have door panel removed to investigate?

Hello,

This is a common fault. unfortunatly wot has happened is the broken door check strap as bent or damaged the window runner. This runner is welded part of the door, and if the damage is bad a new door may be required. ypu may however be able to straighten it out to some degree and get the window working ok again.
