Hi,
I have a 2000 CLK and have a problem with the dashboard lights.
The Temp display and the time / gear display were flickering on & off for a while, but it's getting worse. Most of those displays (on the dashboard) don't light up anymore. I'm sure this is a simple fitting or bulb that needs replacing, but I've no ide how to go about it.

Whould really appreciate any help?

Cheers,
Mark

If it's the back-light bulbs, then yes, they are fairly easy to fix.
The cluster comes out in one of two ways. Either by using 'puller keys' available from ebay or the way I did mine was to drop the under tray on the dash and reach up from behind. With careful pushing from the back and pulling from the front, the cluster comes out. Its just a friction fit.
DO NOT disconnect the wiring from the cluster as this will disable the SRS and you will end up needing a dealer reset.
From experience, a dealer will replace the bulbs for £50-100 and a specialist may not even charge if you are known to them. Its really a 5 min job with the pullers and 30 without. I would suggest replacing all the bulbs whilst you're at it.
