CLK W208 Blowers going crazy

The blowers on my car sometimes have a mind of their own most of the time they work fine but every now and then they do one of the following

1. Pulses between 2 speeds every couple of seconds
2. Blows at full speed on all settings

Any ideas what can be causing this, the pulsing thing is driving me nuts

I think that there is water in the heater box, can you drop the motor to check.

Hi Malcom, is this the motor in the passenger footwell? I did have a blocked drain and a flood in the passenger footwell last week.

Yes that is the one, the reg pack could have blown or it is at fault now, but unusual to go intermittent, if any blue/green algae on the connections clean it off and try it.
