Hi again,

had my new clk for around six weeks with the glove box wedged closed with some cardboard; looked at it today and noticed that the 'latch & catch' weren't aligned - moved the latch a touch, closed the glove box 'door' now it won't open.

again, any help would be gratefully received.

You may have some luck by prising off the end of the dash and getting your hands on the locking cable adjuster, and or from under the dash

glove box update

got the glove box open on the w209 clk.

Where the handle/latch is located there's two small holes, I just inserted a small screwdriver wriggled it about and hey presto.

Hope that helps someone else.

Hi All,
First post.
2008 w209 200 Kompressor.
the glovebox is stuck shut.
I understand the problem. The little jaw wont release from the bar as the bar part is moving around.
I have tried a few tips to open the door.
Poking something up under the handle.
Forcing a lever down above the latch.
Forcing a stiff wire from the door end along to open the jaw.
I have had no luck. Is there something else I should try before resorting to brute force?

regards
G.
