CLK window problem

The drivers window on my CLK convertible when fully up is catching on the rubber seal along the bottom of the roof when you close the door. This makes the door very hard to close. The window appears to be going up about 5mm higher than the passenger one. I assume you can adjust how high the window will go by taking off the door liner. Is there anything I need to know before I do this. Don't want to blow the side air bag!!!

Tried resetting the window but no joy. Took off the door liner and discovered there are adjustable stops for the window that control how far up it goes. These can be adjusted by removing 2 rubber bungs on the bottom of the door and inserting a socket and extension bar. No need to take off liner at all !!! Will know for next time

I know this is an old post but...

My windows on my CLK doing the same, catching on the seal so a 2 mm gap that the wind whistles and howls through. I have to manually pop it in to deal, did you fix yours and if so how? Any help appreciated ;-)

Reading the above it sounds like there are two rubber buns in the bottom of the door allowing access to the adjusters for the window stop positions - might be worth having a look up there with a torch to see what you can do?
