CLK230K Instruments?

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I hope that someone on this excellent site can advise me on my best course of action. I have just purchased a 2000 model CLK230K and having driven it for a week have noticed that the digital clock, the outside temperature guage and gear position indicators are not working in the instrument cluster. I bought the car in Portugal (where I live) from a non-Mercedes dealer and wondered if this failure might be indicative of someone having tampered with the Kilometre reading, or maybe its a common fault. In all other respects, the car is perfect. Any advice would be most appreciated

Its a common fault the same as the 210,s, do a search on here for some old threads and web sites for people who can repair them,

Many thanks Colechelle, I was a little concerned as the car has only completed 110K kilometres.
