CLK230K intermittent engine cut out

Hi out there I have a problem with my CLK230K reg 2001, she cuts out for no apparent reason but then starts ok. She is running smooth and silky have been to MB dealer they the feul management board is faulty and will cost big bucks to fix can anyone help ?

When you talk about fuel management board do you mean the engine E.C.U.?

It could well be the ECU but I would start checking cheaper options first... aka, not so big bucks!

One that springs to mind (from past experience on my car) is:
There is a fuel pump relay in the boot to the right, near the battery,.. If that is failing or has an intermittent fault, that would cause the engine to stop the way you describe.

See if you can get one from a scrap dealer for a couple of quid.. worth a go.
