CLK230K Yr2000 - Which Tyres?!

Hello

I have a year 2000 CLK230K with is normal factory fitted alloys. I need 4 new tyres and have been looking at the Michelin HP Primacy's (??). Anyhow as I have to do all 4, i want to get the size configuration correct. My driving is mostly motorway but also some city.

At present all 4 are "205/55 ZR 16 91W". Reading the forum here there is talk of fitting wider tyres to the rear? Or should I keep the current setup?

Depends on whether you have the wider rims on the rear.
7.5 on front 8.5 on rear if I'm not mistaken.

205/55/16 is the norm but you can go to 225/50/16 if you have the 8.5's at the back

OK that's great thanks.... how do I tell if I have the wider rims?!

They will be marked accordingly on the back of one of the spokes. Alternatively, I'm pretty sure that you can see the difference on the offset of the rim itself

The wider rims were only available in the 17" AMG pattern I believe.
