Hi

I was wondering if anyone can help please.

Just bought a Merc clk240 02plate privately, i tested it and everything was ok. Driving it home from where i bought it and the navigation decides to stop working. It now says "off road- location not found". It has a DX 2005 CD and i live in the city so area must be on the map. Anyone know how i can go about investigating what the problems is without spending 100's of £?

Also the petrol cap door does not lock any idea how i can fix this?

Kinds regards

clk new unlucky owner:(!!

When I get "off road" message, it normally means it is a new road and not on the map. An up to date nav disc may solve the problem.

dont know about navi,
but the petrol cap locks by a pin sliding through a catch on the cap door.
When you open the filler door, you should find a metal catch with a hole in it sticking out at 90 degrees to the edge of the filler cap door. I suspect yours is flat against the inside edge of door.
It's quite common for a dimwit to lock the car when filling up and then force it shut, forcing the catch to bend out of the way.
Just bend it back to 90 degrees.
