Did the CLK convertible ever have the option for folding rear seats that was available for the Coupe version. Haven't found any member of staff in the dealerships with a memory that extended that far back, all too new to the marque.

Looking to change my saab convertible for the clk convertible if this option was available. The next task is finding one

Thanks

Marty

To the best of my knowledge it was not an option for the cabriolet (A208 or A209).

I thought there might be a chance of a larger load through gap than my current saab convertible which has a letter box size opening, big enough for skis and a snowboard. The rear seats fold forward for a load space and to allow long objects

I was impressed with the clk coupe's folding rear seats and significant access for bulky objects.

Given that the roof housing is behind the rear seats I can't see the point of dropping the seats and you still wouldn't have much access to the boot.
