Hello everybody - I've just come across this excellent site.:D
Perhaps somebody can help me?

The heater blower on my 1999 CLK320 Elegance Auto has suddenly stopped working completely.

When I turn the (rotary) switch to the first position, I can hear the air valve motor over, so I'm assuming that power is leaving the switch.

I've read a lot on here about blower brushes on various models, is the CLK similarly susceptible?

Can anyone tell me were to find the blower motor and give an indication of removal procedure?

Thanks

Hello and welcome buddy, Blower and regulator the common causes of your fault are located inder the passenger side dash, undo the screws ant the under pannel comes down and the the motor is in a box under there, take a look all will become clear!!

Thank you!

Thanks folks!:D
Great info.
Lots of water inside as a result of the blocked drain (mentioned on another thread on here somewhere).
I made some new brushes out of old Hoover washing machine items (still plenty long enough for this application), but for £20, I would buy them if I knew it was a job that needed doing.
The old ones weren't actually that bad; still about 15mm long. Anyway, I gave the unit a full strip, clean and re-grease. The whole job was going swimmingly until...
I let the freshly reassembled motor roll off the bench, and smashed a magnet:Oops::evil:
Doh!
Ah well. Kept me quiet for another hour or so.
All fitted and back together, working fine.
Thank you again:D:D
