read about my experience on www.pegasusclassics.net, having bought a car from Steven Edwards of Pegasus Classics.com who trades from
Westcliff on Sea in Essex, and let me know if you have been caught as well by this dealer.

Looks like a clear case for trading standards. And the police, of course. Best of luck.

Was an E300TD, now a Lexus LS400
Not sure why you just don't take him straight to court tbh. I would.

Hi

If it's not impolite to enquire, how much did the car cost? By how much was the car overclocked? Is the car still in your possession? How much do you think is it REALLY worth based upon your knowledge of its true mileage? Is the car truly in excellent condition?

My reason for enquiring is to gain some idea of your actual loss.

I agree with the advice offered by other members, you have more than enough evidence to prosecute Mr. Edwards and the Office for Trading Standards is the way to go.

This may not be an isolated incident involving a single trader, it could be organised fraud. The police should be alerted.

I wouldn't rely upon engaging solicitors to resolve the problem. It will cost you dearly.

I would have every expectation that you will get your money back, and more. However, I would imagine the prosecution will be protracted and messy. You may have to wait for the return of your money.

REGARDS

A wise friend of mine once said that with any used car, assume the mileage is wrong unless you can prove otherwise.

Is there any chance you can contact me - I have been scammed by this same man.
