I just noticed this today (happened to have the stereo off!!) When i was braking there was a steady clunking noise coming from the rear, it didn't happen every time but seemed to be there under moderately heavy braking (not gentle) Anybody got any ideas what i should be looking at?Thanks

Not too sure, dont quote me, but I had a similar problem on a 190 a few years back. It was rectified by new rear shockers. They were rattling away quite merrily on their top mounts.
Hope that helps a bit.

I replaced the rear shock mounts last year on my 220SEb because they were making a clunking noise. Cost about £5 for a set of four.
