CLS 320 2007 rear light unit / water ingress / bulbs replacement

Hi guys,

We have water ingress into the rear left taillight, maybe even the rear right unit. Two bulbs have blown - rear left fog lamp and rear left tail lamp.

I watched youtube how hard it is to reach and remove the tail light.

I could not find if I can then replace individual bulbs or would I need to change the whole unit.

I also read another thread which says that the bulbs are actually soldered and must not be changed by the user.

Could someone please advise?

Are you sure the light units are not LED?
If so, its the whole unit that need replacing.
Plenty of light clusters on eBay if that's the case.

I think it was just the brake lights that were LED, rest normal bulbs.
