Cls alloys on 06 SL500

Hell all,
I've recently bought my lovely 06 sl500. It has the 17 inch standard 7 spoke alloys.

I have always liked the Cls 5 spoke alloys, but am unsure about the fitting, spacing etc. I have seen a set for sale in decent condition, but dont want to assume cos its merc it will slip on.

Does anyone know if alloys with these measurements would go on. And if they would need spacers or any other adjustments.

285/30/19(REAR) 255/35/19(FRONT)

My limited knowledge makes me think the tears are wider and may need some adjustment?!?!?

I have the exact size tyres on my SL and fit without and issues, the rims are 5 spoke AMG without spacers. I think you need to find out the et measurements of the 19" rims.
Hard ride though

That's interesting about the hard ride. I remember going from 16-18 on a saab and it did affect the steering and suspension.

Is it worth the trade off do you think??

I have CLS alloys on my SL, ET25 on front and ET28 on rear. I don't find the ride to be hard but I haven't experienced 17s or 18s on the car to compare against.

You also have excellent suspension that can cope with large rims
