Hi all.
Does anybody now about any subframe corrosion issues on the 2017 Cls vehicles and as mercedes extended there warranty on the subframe corrosion.

Not heard of any issues on the CLS, but the W204 C Class and W212 E class both models have had owners that have had the rear sub frame replaced under goodwill/warranty. Mercedes know there is a problem with those models and have replaced subframes free of charge.

If you suspect your car has this issue, take it into the dealers and ask for an inspection and free subframe replacement.

Hi thanks for the info.
I am looking at a 2017 cls 220amg line premium and considering the purchase of it but when I check the mot history it states at the last mot advisories. Subframe corrosion but not structuraly unsafe ,that is my only concern apart from that, it is a 1 owner full mb service history 49000 miles motor.
Any thought would be appreciated.

Hello. I am failed my MOT today of subframe corrosion. Serviss gave me a letter that this is dangerous to drive. I have mercedess E class 2014 year. ( w212) Do mercedess centre would replaced it under goodwill/warranty free of charge?

I would assume the dealers are still replacing these rusty subframes FOC as a goodwill gesture.
Book the car in for an inspection stating the car has failed its MOT due to a rusted rear subframe and you'd like a free replacement.
They may charge you for new bolts and possibly brake lines whilst the work is being carried out.
Don't be fobbed off, be insistent free replacements are being done at other dealerships. It's a well known problem.
