Clunky driver's door question.

The driver's side door of my 1995 E200 Coupe as starting making a very loud clunk/clank noise as it passes therough half open or half shut. It seems to be coming from the joint halfway up the inside of the door.

The door still opens and closes, so it is functioning correctly it is just very noisy when opening or closing the door.

Has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions?

It is the door check strap.

Easily replaceable and cheap.
