Clutch on clk - 6 sp manual

We've only had the car (2002 with 88k miles on the clock) a couple of weeks and are pleased with it, However, today I've driven it 160 miles and the clutch is so 'light' it's very difficult to balance the 'bite', just as if there is in-sufficient free play! Any ideas, please? Dingdongbell.

Has the spring (no.71 in link) broken or come adrift?
