You'll have to excuse me dropping off here, but I'm being gassed slowly by exhaust fumes.
Despite recent attention further down the exhaust system, the manifold appears to be leaking like h*ll
- you can even see it if you get a mate to slap his hand over the exhaust.
I know of a company that can make a steel copy of the cast M-B original (have been advised by M-B parts dealer it's better and cheaper than the original) but they're 400km away. Does anyone have any short-term fixes that will get me to Johannesburg with my blood still pumping? Is it worth, for example, tracking down a gasket (I assume; the actual manifold looks OK) at a scrapyard? Or should I simply hold my breath?
