Collection from MB Bremen Factory

[New to AMG]

Morning All.

First time here after joining yesterday.
I have recently ordered an AMG CLE 53 from a UK dealer and the vehicle should land with them by the end of September/ early October.
I however, want to pick up the car directly from the Bremen Factory.
I did the same thing a long time ago, collecting a 300CE from the Sindelfingen Factory near Stuttgart.
I have emailed the Customer Centre in Bremen but no response.
Can anyone help and advise whether this is still a live service from MB as I did hear that they stopped the facility a few years ago , though their web site advertises it clearly.

I was planning to speak to them at some point but given that I have found most dealers knowledge pretty limited I thought that I would try the informed enthusiasts first. Thanks.

Hello And thanks for the response - just a had a call with MB Bremen and it's a no from them - they did not know exactly why , but looks like you were right on the Brexit theme - I voted to stay in as it happened, for all the good that did... thank you for taking the trouble to respond.

I asked the dealer in Ireland the same question when he quoted €2k. for delivery and associated charges. No, you can't..

I suspect it's a case of who you know. Chatting to an elderly lady (must have been in her late 70's) driving an A45S she told me she had picked up the car from Bremen last year. Family had some connection to AMG though.
