Comand Aps Questions

Firstly, hello great forum, this is my first post so please welcome me on board!
I have recently taken (very late) delivery of a 218cdi with all the trimmings, including comand aps ,top of the range model.I was told at the time it could play dvd's, as the version in the cars does this, however this has proven not to be the case.My question is, can this be rectified, can it receive TV, and(as mentioned in the operationg instructions), what is involved in fitting a reversing camera?
Any advice will be very welcome,

Not sure what car you are referring to as a 218CDI.

However, DVD playback is NOT possible on the following cars fitted with COMAND APS;

A class (W169)
B class (w245)
C class (W203)

TV is available on the CLK but DVD is not

TV and DVD is possible on other models. TV requires a separate TV tuner.

For a facelifted CLK (W209 04/2004 onwards) assuming you have the TV option already fitted, you should either be able to connect up a DVD player to the tuner or tap into the video feed from the tuner to the head unit.

For a pre facelift W209 you either need the TV option and connect the DVD up to its auxilliary inputs or you need one of those multimedia adapters from a firm like Dietz.
