I have recently bought a 2002 w210 E-class and have a couple of issues with the comand system.
1, Sometimes the CD changer sound doesn't work, you can see the track time counting but no sound or sometimes hiss. the only way to reset the fault is to switch the car off , lock and unlock the car.
2, The speed dependent volume control seems to have been set up for a vito van ! The E-class is very quiet at 90mph but the audio sound is way too loud. My local main dealer says it cant be changed or adjusted !
