Comand knob

The right hand knob on my comand has become rather " manky" and i would like to replace it

My local MB dealer says that you cant just get the knob...his solution is to change the entire unit at £3500!

Thats just plain stupid

Anyone know if you can get the knob and how to replace it? does it just pull off? (obvioulsly I dont want to try this if it breaks!)

It does not pull off Steve,,I think its all part of the control, as the face plate comes off leaving the knobs in place

Hi Steve, I purchased a pair for mine and changed it quite easily, I only used one so you can have the other one if you want to ping me your address. The unit comes to bits with the whole faceplate unscrewing with 4 torx at the sides. Then you have to dismantle the faceplate. Time consuming but not too difficult.
