Comand NTG 1 issues

Hello everyone ! For the last few weeks my c-class comand has experienced some strange issues. For what i can say in the hot days when i start the car the comand will reboot several times before working properly , issue that is not there in the mornings... I think it might be related to the heat inside the car. And this occurs random as sometimes it will work normal regardless of the temperature . And now when i was driving home from work in the evening i noticed that the buttons on it are no more illuminated and will not respond when pressed but it works fine with the steering wheel buttons and it is playing my cd-s and changes tracks. Anyone that can point me in the right direction ? Thank you all very much.

Try a hard /soft reset. It involves pulling fuses. Or simply DC the earth on battery for a while.

some comand systems of this vintage have a cooling fan issue... the amp on an s class will have a noisy wobbly fan at 50k,

I took out the negative from the battery for about 2 hours or so. Now everything seems fine. I do hope that fixes the random reboot in the heat issue. I will keep you posted. Thank you for your quick reply’s!
