Comand SAT NAV 'LOST'!!

My sat nav has lost its way! The map does not correspond to my actual place on the ground, its about 15 miles out. It tries to navigate but cant because of the bad orientation.
My car is an E class 06 with a new APS DVD 2008/09 disc in the unit in th boot.
Is there a way to reset the nav system?

The fault could be the GPS antenna, STAR would confirm this

STAR is a Mercedes diagnostic tool.
You car is a 2006 so still under warranty, ask a dealer to have a look.

Could be the Antenna as ponited out.

If it's early 2006 then it will be out of warranty now.

I agee, we take the trouble to help them and they cant be bothered to post back

I hope my extended warranty will cover my visit to main dealer on friday.

Comand on line told me how to see if it was finding satelites. Its not! So a visit to main dealer on Friday is arranged to put it on STAR. I will post to let you all know what they find.

It is a fairly common problem the antenna going down

All fixed. It was the antenna. Put right by main dealer under used Mercedes tier 1 warrenty. Cost would have been £211. Phew!
