COMAND Sat NAV W211

I'm thinking of upgrading my 50 APS on my 2004 W211 with a COMAND DVD Sat Nav. I have sourced a good priced brand new unit but the seller warns that additional parts may be required. As I already have 50 APS does anybody know what else will be needed to switch units? Also any idea on the labour time required?

Not positive myself but I think you'd be OK for a direct swap,as both use the same audio gateway. The only thing is that teh Audio 50 APS was fitted to ealry model 211s I was told and so the wiring might have changed slightly. A company in Colchester called auto-technic.co.uk do upgrades. They might be able to advise.
