Comand Sat Nav won't navigate

I'm not having a good time with my new to me 2000 E320cdi. Apart from a gearbox fault mentioned elsewhere, as I was taking the car to a specialist to look at that problem, the Comand Sat Nav decided it didnt want to show me the way. I can enter the City, then when I select the street, it goes back to the first Navi screen. Sometimes it just sticks on the street list page and won't go any further. The unit is seeing satellites ok as the map function works, and the CD player works fine too; it just refuses to show me where to go. Anybody have any ideas?

Just a thought...have you tried ejecting the disc and then inserting again?

Yes I've tried that and that didnt work. I even removed the fuse to see if it would reset ( a bit like the NTL cable box on the tv), and that didnt work either. At least thats one advantage that NTL has over MB
