I have an E series (this year) with COMAND, satelllite navigation.
It's very useful, but does anyone know if the satnav system used is is the same as one that can be loaded on a PC?.
I ask because it would be useful to plan a route indoors, to assess possible stop-offs, rather than sit outside in the car. I had a clip in Garmin Streetpilot, and could double check a route indoors the night before a journey, and would like to do the same with the COMAND system- I thought just to put the COMAND DVD in my PC if necessary.
