Still getting to grips with Command Online after 6 months. My current issue is that I want Linguatronic to only call up the saved addresses in Command as opposed to the whole address book on the linked 'phone. The reason is that I will only have around 30 or 40 entries to search instead of scrolling through the whole list on the iPhone.

Am I missing something in the manual? I have also checked the online version but find neither are always clear.

On mine, I have the option whether to automatically import contacts from the phone or not:

Thanks, I looked for that in my manual and just found that also. Can I still access the 'phone separately though? I'll pop out and check in a few minutes.

Unfortunately if I deactivate the function I lose the ability to call telephone numbers on my phone.

I was hoping to use the Command address book for navigation and the phone book for calls. I even deleted the imported address book and tried to get Command to talk to the phone but it wouldn't.
I'll go and try again when it's a bit warmer in the car; currently around zero in there at the moment!

I’m not sure which version of Comand you have but, on mine, I have the option of saving addresses to an SD card under the centre armrest. I save all my usual ones on there and call them up using the central wheel when I need them - I don’t think Linguatronic will search that. Personally, I find that much quicker than going through all the rigmarole of voice control. You can even set different categories so if I’m doing a longer European trip, I can save all the destinations I want in advance.

I don't like the way Apple decide the list order I have is irrelevant and then the first name is irrelevant. But then thinks its applies sound logic and reorders everything roughly based on last name (but even then jumbles what is or isn't the last name )

On a normal phone

people I care about start with their first name and lists them alphabetical (ones ending Mob is the mobile)
wk at the front of any work contact, which then lists them alphabetical side by side after the important people above
Z at the front for all other contacts, so they sit in alphabetical order

but between Apple and Mercedes it takes that sensible and useful listing and puts it in at washing machine at 1600 spin speed for an hour, then takes that mess and randomly jumbles them up a bit more so there's no logic whatsoever

I recently tried the three phone book layouts it lets me see

1) terrible as above
2) worse
3) or even more horrendous

Perhaps I should save my new destinations under the Home category then call them up from that when I have worked out how.
I have now finally got Mercedes Me to send destinations to the car so I have been using that as a stopgap. Not doing a lot of travel at the moment, but I like the sound of the SD card option.

Mine is not the more sophisticated system on the W213 cars mine being a 2016 E350 S212 but Linguatronic does a pretty good job of calling whom I ask it to, it is fussy on language though I have to say for instance ‘call John Smith home number’
it will not respond to say ‘telephone John Smith home number’
