Hi,
I have factory fitted command system and 6 CD Changer in my 2001 C320. It came with a 2000 Sat Nav CD which worked without any noticible problems.
I've recently replaced the Sat Nav CD with the latest version (Tele Atlas 06/07) and although in general everything seems to work, I have noticed the following intermittent probems:
1) CD in changer freezes up - usually get a 'no Magazine' msg or the CD simply freezes with no sound.
2) RADIO volume cuts out even though the system is not in MUTE.
3) NAVIGATION freezes - usually just swithes over to RADIO and sometimes even that is in 'freeze' mode.
4) TELEPHONE (factory fitted) sometimes goes into no SIM detected mode.
Getting the system back is somewhat trial and error... either have to turn command off and on, eject and re-insert CD magazine or turn engine off and on.
I'm guessing it's something to do with the software update the new Sat Nav CD made??
Any ideas or comments?
I'm not sue whether I have the MY01 update as I do get the MB logo on startup but no predictive text on entering a destination.
Alfie has very kindly agreed to use his update disc to check whether I have indeed got the MY01 update.
