My screen looks exactly like you before image and I'd wondered if it could be improved. Do you have an image of yours after polishing but with it switched off as a better comparison?

Looks like you have just removed whatever was left of the anti-glare coating on the screen , the NTG 2.5 in my old CLS was going the same way.

T -cut always worked for fogged up plastic rear views on convertible hoods.

If the screen has an anti glare coating it may not have after T-cutting  though it would still look better than a scratched screen.

Yes, it will have removed the anti glare covering. The anti glare had been damaged before my ownership, and made it look a real mess, especially when the roof if down and in sunlight. So, for me, the right thing to do is to remove the damaged anti glare coating.

The screen looks much improved whether switched on, or off.

Droverunner: I will upload a photo at some point to illustrate. Today is a sunny day and I will have the roof down, so will aim to do this today.

Anti glare coating breaks up eventually just like UV coating on headlights .

Once you cleaned it off and see the new clarity of the graphics and the lack of glare you'll wonder why it was ever applied in the first place .

Well I really appreciate the heads up on this.

My needs for a stereo/media unit are modest so I'm happy with the Viano's Command NTG2.5 but the horrible looking screen when off ruined the otherwise nice looking dash so was almost enough to tip me over to spending £300 or so on a new aftermarket unit.

I used silver polish as it is slightly more gentle than T-cut or Brasso but the screen does seem hard to damage anyway.

Now it's mint. Pic before, after and playing a video.

This worked for me, rub on gently with finger, use dry lint-free cloth to work into corners and a W5 (Lidl) glass cleaning wipe to remove residue (and to pre-clean if surface dirty), microfibre to dry and looks mint. Been annoying me for ages, just needed the courage to have a go.

Won't "before and after" as I don't have a good (bad) "before". I figured that and the silver polish would be about the same mild abrasion level. Don't really need to apply any pressure.
