Started the car this morning radio came on but screen stayed blank,do I req a new screen and if so how much.

Did the same with mine the other day (E Class). Hadn’t driven for a while and even though started car battery obviously discharged. Once fully charged - all okay.

Mine did the same back in the cold weather of January. Car started fine but obviously battery voltage was enough to upset the system. Worked fine later on my return journey. I did miss the 360° Camera when parking though!

The screen on mine automatically switches off if battery gets low, my car is a 2016 E350 S212.

As mentioned command automatically switches off if the battery getting low (to preserve battery). Sit in the car with command switched on and the engine off and you will get the message after 10 mins. This has been a feature of command since the early 2000.
