fleabay or any play with car toys brigade

check you get the right thing, I think early cars used a different network type - if the thing you disconnected was like the link - this is a good idea as it has both male and female versions

if you don't know what you are doing why are you playing with the car ?????

Lol. i bought the car as a Project it’s a very nice car in excellent condition. However the multi changer had a fault , it was trying to eject the cassette all the time even when the ignition was off !! So possible battery drain . I wouldn’t say I’m an expert but I’ve worked on various Mercedes in the past and had very good results. To be honest on this issue I didn’t know they were fibre optic as up to Inow I have found it very difficult to find a suitable manual . The Haynes on line manual for this car is useless ( in my opinion) the link you provided is exactly the same I’m waiting for to be delivered from Amazon following your advice earlier . many thanks for you help . I’ll let you know the outcome

Cheers Brian

cars went way past anything u can write in an affordable book about 20 years ago....

you need electronic diagnostic kit to know almost anything these days... lots here use icarsoft and are happy - I have no idea as never touched a unit... but even a 6k GBP snap on tool is still short of supporting interior toys on many models
