Hi all
I am a new member, although I bought my Mercedes in May last year, I have been lurking on this site since purchase and there is a lot of very useful info on here so have decided to take the plunge and sign up.
I have 2001 W203 C230K Evo Panorama with Command, I have a question which I hope someone can be of help with, I am considering buying a Dension Ice Link Gateway 500 so I can use my Ipod Nano thru the command and steering wheels controls, however they list a Most fibre optic system and a D2B fibre optic system, anyone know which command would be fitted to my car.
I do have the Aux input in the glovebox which I have used with the ipod but would prefer to use the steering wheel buttons etc to control ipod.
Car also has the 6 disc autochanger in glovebox which I would like to try and keep.
Thanks :)

As Malcolm has said, you have a COMAND 2 unit which is D2B based.

The Dension unit will interface with your D2B bus. however you will not be able to have the CD changer and the IPOD connection active concurrently. Dension provide a switch for you select which one you wish to use.

The newer COMAND units fitted to the post April 2004 build cars are MOST based and can have a factory IPOD connection and CD changer concurrently connected.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Alfie, much appreciated, a couple of further questions if you don't mind.
1 Do you know if the song details etc are displayed on the command.
2 Can you recommend any installers in the Surrey area.

Once again many thanks,

I'm not sure if the track info is displayed or not but I'm told it is!

I will PM you with the name of a firm who can install it for you.
