I'm impressed with Blobcat's signature photo, he's getting a good average from his E320 CDI.

So I've put mine on to compare. :(
Looking at yours, mine appears to be faster as well as having better economy :p
As I posted earlier this is actually a poor 100 hrs reading as I have been doing shorter journeys, normally it is >40mpg.
I see the 211 doesn't reset after 100 hrs

I know I'm gutted.

I noticed that too with the reset, I'll keep my eye on it - to if or when it does.

Dave... you're not trying hard enough... 20.2mpg? Was your wife driving it at the time? With a little effort, you can get to single digits :p

When I bought my SL500 home on a 250 mile trip, Davidsl500 told me that I was not trying hard enough when I returned 29.6 MPG, I will take some pictures now that the car is just pottering around on short trips, I can beat your figure Dave.

Maybe we should start a competition

I think that 20mpg is pretty good. I had 2 535i BMWs, not half the power, similar weight, both autos & that was about my avarage MPG out of them.

Its not the MPG as such (I'm quite happy with that) but just how much of my life I've spent at the wheel over 9 months!
Still, justifies buying a nice merc!

The MB looks good against the Volvo V70R, its all hills around here.
