hi new to the forum hope someone can help with advise i just purchased a 2020 c class 220d sport plus, had a message on the dash saying..BATTERY SEE OWNERS MANUAL. SO FITTED A LIKE FOR LIKE NEW BATTERY, BUT NO JOY MESSAGE STILL THERE, A SO CALLED FRIEND WHO WORKED FOR MERCEDES SAID, THE VOLTAGE NEEDS TO BE RESET, MMM OK HE SAID LOOK ON
YOU TUBE for a secret menu look for reset press it and your sorted
oh ye i was sorted alright, apparently it was the DEALERSHIP MENU. OOPS. it also reset all the cars software to bog standard so now i have no reverse camera,, bog standard icons and satnav no ambient lighting. no auto park.
no stop start. no dab on the radio.
no media sound on radio. no video
etc etc has anyone had a problem like this, help help help

hi there i think a trip to the main dealer is required,unfortunately. it looks like you have deleted everything from the system. only an MB dealer would be able to reinstate it with software. good luck.

yeh thought so, got booked for next month, mercedes have everyone by the short and curlies though, as it must have a 1 hour [evaluation ] to figure out What's wrong at £160 plus vat, then a minimum 2 hours work, but could be UP TO 5 or 6 hours at £160 plus vat. as i was told HOW LONG IS A PIECE OF STRING!! ...LOOKS LIKE LEGAL ROBBERY TO ME,GRRRRRRR

It could be done by a Mercedes Independent, and may be cheaper, but they still have to pay to access the Mercedes system. It would help to have your location on your profile.
