thinking of buying a c class ,its advertised as a C250D, but when i check the reg it comes up as a C250 TD sport, can anyone enlighten me as i've never heard of C250TD sport and it doesn't look very sporty, unless the seller is ignorant of what he's got, cheers, phil.

Its the C250 turbo diesel . The C class came in the classic, elegance and sport trims. The sport has a plastic/carbon look dash and white dials as well as slightly lowered (I could be wrong on that), whereas the elegance was more traditional with wood and a softer suspension. (Classic was the base model so less toys).

There were both C250D & C250TD. I have a C250TD which is also a sport model. Sport model includes lowered sports suspension, white sport diles on instrument panel and smaller steering wheel i think.
You can also tell if its a sport model as it'll say sport on the side instead of elegance or classic. However there was an Espirit which had lowered suspension but don't know what else it had.
I've had mine 3 years and I love it. Make sure its an auto its a very reliable car.......enjoy
