Connecting an iPod to Command APS

Dear All,

I am just awaiting delivery of a C Class estate with the Command APS option fitted. It is my understanding that this option comes with a socket in the glove box fitted as standard which allows connection of external devices to the head unit.

My question is can I 'plug and play' an iPod directly into this or do I have to by some other vastly expensive after market MB module to get the ipod to work? If I can 'Plug and Play' what type of socket is it in the MB, in order that I can go and purchase the appropriate connecting wires.

Thanks in advance

Richard

There is a phono jack on the left hand side of the glove compartment for analog AUX input. You can directly plug your ipod into this sockect and from the audio menu select AUX input. THe volume control on the ipod has to be turned up to full to give the same volume level as from other sources eg radio etc.
