Can anyone provide me with instructions for replacing the left front window switch located in the console? I need to know how to access the switch in the console.

Thanks for the web site info. I was not able to find an exploded view of my console. The one that was shown is different.

I bought a switch at a mercedes dealership. The service people asked me if I needed any other help. I told them my problem. They brought out a technician who brought my car inside and climbed in to show me how to access and change the switch at no extra cost.

Remove the ash tray. take out the two screws you see at the bottom of the ashtray opening. rock the tray below the ashtray to remove it. sometimes this is stuck from spilling drinks. remove the trim from the shifter. it pops up with a plastic tool. slide the wood panel with the window control buttons forward. it may be stuck in place as well. wires are short but you can now replace any of the switches located there.
