Consul Lights

Can somebody enlighten me as to where i can find the fuse/relay that controls the lighting for the centre consul on a w201, cos whilst removing a faulty bulb from behind the heater controls, the bulb shattered and caused a short circuit, then all the lights went out on the centre consul only though, i've looked at the fuse box under the bonnet, but there was no sign of any blown fuses, i thought it might be around the actual headlight switch? any ideas?

re console lights

there is a small fuse at the rear of your dash pod. its usually red of black & looks like a small cartridge type blade fuse.

Where is the dash pod? please

The pod is the speedo and other gages.
The steering wheel does not have to come off to get the Pod out and as Bundy says there is a fuse at the rear of the pod just next to the Speedo usually coloured red it just looks like a small dash light bulb holder. Hope this helps only steelerships have them.

thanks for the info, i was looking for a blade type fuse. how odd though that tiny little fuse, but i suppose it saves having to change the path of the pcb, and what a tiny little fuse
